Shortoff Mountain Retreats · Stay guide
Family stays
More time together. Room for everyone.
A few families, one mountain home, and a weekend you can make your own. Shortoff Mountain Retreats combines shared spaces for meals and games with separate rooms for downtime.
Make the layout work for you
Three ensuite bedrooms, a bunk room and a loft give families several ways to arrange their stay. Review the room-by-room sleeping guide before assigning beds. Maximum occupancy is 12 guests.
The home has multiple levels. If stairs or an open loft are a concern, ask about the layout before reserving.
Keep the day simple
Choose one outing and leave room for the unexpected: a lake morning, a shorter park walk, or a relaxed lunch in town. Our trip-planning guide helps you match the day to your group.
Have a rainy-day plan
Pac-Man, foosball, air hockey and board games give children and adults something to do at the house. A shared meal and a movie can be the whole evening.
Bring the essentials
Family supplies include a Pack 'n Play, high chair, children's dinnerware and bathroom step stools. Confirm any item your family depends on. Bring a baby gate and other specific child-safety supplies as needed.
A gathering, with a quiet pace
The retreat suits family vacations and quiet small-group stays. Parties and events are not permitted under the current house rules. Dogs require prior discussion with the host and a per-dog fee; see the booking policies.
